Mother’s Center of Great Toledo
The Mothers’ Center of Greater Toledo is a non-profit organization for mothers and their families. It is a non-judgmental environment in which mothers can:

•Seek education
•Create friendships
•Share experiences
•Receive positive reinforcement in their roles as women and parents

Our members are from all over the Greater Toledo area and include mothers of newborns, toddlers, & school aged children; and moms who have chosen to care for their children full time and who work part-time and/or full time. Meetings are held once a week on Thursday mornings, beginning at 9:45 am and concluding at 11:15 am at the McCord Road Christian Church: 4765 N. McCord Road, Sylvania, Ohio.

MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) International:
MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) is an international organization that “exists to encourage, equip, and develop every mother of preschoolers to realize her potential as a woman, mother and leader in the name of Jesus Christ.” Women who are pregnant or have young children (birth through kindergarten) are all invited to join MOPS. CedarCreek MOPS is a group of women who come from all walks of life, but share one desire: to be great moms! Come and experience genuine community, mothering support, personal growth and spiritual hope as we help one another become better moms to make a better world.  This MOPS group meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesday morning of each month (September through May) from 9:30am-11:30am

MOPS gives moms a chance to meet and share the joys and frustrations of motherhood in a Christian setting. Most groups invite speakers, share food together and do an optional craft. There are more than a dozen MOPS groups in the Toledo area. Another local MOPS group meets at Westgate Chappel in Toledo.  Their website can be found HERE.

Mom’s Morning Out

Ever wish you could have a couple of hours a week to yourself?  Would you love to have a way for your children to have fun with other kids while you had a chance to get a haircut, go to a dr.’s appt., have coffee with a friend, or just run errands on your own?  Then come join Mom’s Morning Out!

Mom’s Morning Out is a great, supportive group of moms who form a co-op for safe, fun, inexpensive, one-morning-a-week childcare.
Here’s how it works:  Three Tuesday mornings a month you can drop off your child(ren), ages infant through K/1st grade, in a well-stocked playroom at a convenient location in Sylvania.  From 9:15-11:45, your kids will play with other young children, explore new toys and activities, and enjoy a small snack while supervised by at least 2 other warm, caring, committed moms.
In return, one Tuesday morning a month, you take your turn caring for and playing with the other children, as well as your own.
The cost is $5/week (for one or more children!), which goes to compensate the one mom who is paid and provides consistency of care by supervising the children each week.  Interested?  Please contact Sylvania UCC at: 419-882-0048 and come check it out on Tuesday!

If you belong to a different MOPS group or a different Mom’s group altogether and would like your groups information posted, please contact me at brandy@toledomomsblog.com and I will add your group’s information.
